The Strathmore Lanterns are based upon a late 19th Century French Wall Lantern. A very simple and elegant period wall light that suits traditional homes.

Founded in 1971, the Limehouse Lamp Company faithfully re-created original antique lighting from their Victorian Pub premises in London's East End area of Limehouse.  Today, all of the collections are hand made at The Limehouse Lamp Company's factory in Sussex.  The company ethos is to produce lighting that is made using old traditional methods piece by piece which ensures that each light fitting is unique.  
Limehouse Lighting products are hand made by a team of craftsmen based in the UK. Every item is built and hand finished by craftsmen, who have over 100 years of combined experience making traditional lighting. Working in only solid brass and copper, each item is soldered by hand. Heavy parts are all cast in sand and finished by hand giving the lights the artisan quality of original pieces.
IP rating 23 - usual rating on more traditional handmade models, for standard locations (rain water / showering water at an angle up to 60 degrees from the vertical) - suitable where there is some protection from rain (i.e. not sideways rain on an exposed hillside, lashing rain at the coast, heavy rain running down walls) - suitable if there is some protection - alongside a wall / under a porch.
IP rating 44 - (additional cost) for lights more exposed to all types of weather.
Please check with us regarding suitability for a coastal location.

It is not always possible to arrange an exact delivery time or date (but we will try our best). We will send you an email when your consignment has been dispatched. An expected delivery date will be provided and, whenever possible, this will be accompanied with consignment tracking information. In the event that you miss the delivery, the courier will leave a card in order that a second delivery attempt can be carried out (by arrangement via the courier website or a call to the courier depot).

Delivery Costs

FREE Delivery on all order totals over £50.00 to UK mainland destinations.

For an order value of less than £50.00 there will be a delivery charge of £5.95 (mainland UK deliveries). For destinations outside of mainland UK please contact us by email or by telephone to discuss any additional delivery charge.

Deliveries will be carried out using a range of reliable national couriers and delivery times are weekdays between 0900 and 1800.

Saturday delivery may be possible but this is subject to a surcharge of £25.00.

Delivery surcharges may apply to UK non-mainland destinations (e.g. to Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands and Channels Islands etc).

Any delivery surcharge (for non-mainland UK destinations or for timed delivery slots) is non-refundable in the event of goods being cancelled after receipt of the consignment.

We will make every effort to deliver within the timeframe advised but we will not be liable for any financial loss caused to you by late or non-delivery on the stated day.

Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods (alternative “safe place” arrangements can be made in certain cases).

Our given lead times are as accurate as possible at the time of ordering. If there are any significant delays you will always be informed. Any customers with a delayed order will be notified of the potential delay whilst we source your light from the manufacturer.

It is essential that the delivery address is clear and correct. Delivery to an incorrect address provided by the customer, will discharge any and every responsibility of the Outdoor Lighting Centre.

Breakages

When goods are delivered, they must be examined immediately for breakages. Any damage must be reported (by post, email, telephone) to the Outdoor Lighting Centre within 5 days of receipt.

In some instances it may be quicker / more convenient to re-supply a damaged part (e.g. shade) than collect and re-supply the entire fitting.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with a further queries or concerns. We will endeavor to provide you with as much information as possible in order to ensure a smooth delivery experience.
Returns Policy
If an item does not meet with your total satisfaction for any reason, you are welcome to return it. We do ask that the Outdoor Lighting Centre be informed in advance.This is essential in order for us to identify the original order and process a refund as quickly as possible.

Advice of return can be made by calling us (0800 0436342), sending an email through the Contact Form (or direct email to [email protected]). Advice of a return can also be made in writing (see address on Contact Us page).

Unlike many other shops, the Outdoor Lighting Centre will not apply any re-stocking fees.

To qualify for a full refund we require goods to be returned within 30 days of receipt of the order. However, this period can be extended in some cases (by prior arrangement). We will also refund any standard delivery costs paid on the original order (with the exception of delivery costs to destinations outside of mainland UK and special deliveries).

Returns Address
Please do not return goods to the address on any shipping note that accompanied the original order. Once you have informed us of the intent to return we will provide the appropriate return address.

We will issue a full refund once the items have been returned (complete with manufacturer box, instructions and any provided screws / fittings). A refund cannot be provided for goods that have been previously installed.

Please could you ensure that plenty of packaging is used for the return (plus an outer box to ensure that there are no breakages during transit). Any damage would be the liability of the customer returning said items.
